Dr. Joel Harman, originally from Van Wert, OH, earned a doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Having recovered from a sports injury in high school with the help of chiropractic care, he developed an appreciation and interest in the profession. Although Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation is his passion, he loves to treat all types of patients, from newborns to elderly. Dr. Harman utilizes a variety of diagnostic tools and treatment techniques which include Motion Palpation, McKenzie Diagnosis and Therapy, Functional Rehabilitation, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, Kinesiology Taping, Nutritional Counseling and many more.
While at National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Harman served a one-year clinical internship with a special focus on integrative medicine and was elected to the executive board of the Chiropractic Fraternity, Sigma Phi Kappa He was also an active member of the Motion Palpation, Gait, and Rehab Clubs. While enrolled at NUHS, Dr. Harman attended over 100 hours of post-graduate seminars as well as multiple seminars on rehabilitation and adjustments of the spine and extremities through the Motion Palpation Institute.
Prior to attending National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Harman attended the University of Toledo, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with College and University Honors.
